  • Become more creative?
  • Develop their team skills?
  • Move to a higher level of overall performance?

Then this is the session for you. Through the use of personal stories, case studies, group exercises, extensive participation, gags, fun, and, yes, even some magic thrown in, this session will awaken the spirit of your people.

The day included a morning session at the Hotel Laguna with teams tackling two problem-solving puzzles: The Polygon Puzzle and Jungle Escape (see first picture below). The morning's activities prepared team members for a challenging Teambuilding Treasure Hunt on the streets of Laguna Beach. With a 75o temperature and slight ocean breeze, it was a hunt to remember...an energizing day for all. Click on the pictures to enlarge and enjoy!

MDA "Spirit Day" a Real Energizer
Team Building - Building High Performance Teams
This year's Muscular Dystrophy Association regional staff development conference for 100 people in Teaneck, New Jersey featured a high-energy, half-day Building High Performance Teams session with Peter Grazier. These great people, who do so much for others, enjoyed an opportunity to learn new team skills and let off steam at the same time. According to MDA's Debbie Camner, "The reviews are in---and everyone (and I mean everyone) loved the session!"

Building High Performance Teams for Forest Service Recruits
The United States Department of Agriculture - Forest Service, recently requested a day of team building for 30 college students who may choose to become employees of the Service. The session was intended to build team skills and collaboration. Part of the day's activities included our collaboration exercise The Polygon Puzzle, our team development exercise Jungle Escape, and our team creativity exercise Create a Company. AstraZeneca Visits "Fufu" (click photos to enlarge)

About 60 administrative coordinators of AstraZeneca (30 on each of two days) spent a rousing day of teambuilding and development at the Hagley Museum in Wilmington, Delaware. The half-indoor/half-outdoor day had teams creating companies and overcoming obstacles at the "island" of Fufu to collect and save the rare Fufu eggs. Combining our Building High Performance Teams and Portable Ropes Teambuilding sessions, the day borrowed a little from the TV "Survivor" themes, providing learning, fun, and adventure for everyone.

Talbot County DSS Teambuilding

According to Special Projects Coordinator Susan Draper, "We all agree that the time spent collaborating with each other, listening to each other, laughing together and working to "live with" each other's values and beliefs at your direction was enormously valuable---in fact, a peak training experience for our organization." For those of us here at Teambuilding, Inc., it was a pleasure serving these unsung heroes of our society.

ISP Sports Convenes in New Orleans - As part of their yearly conference, sixty dynamic sales, marketing, and operations people from ISP Sports Properties, Inc. spent a day developing their team and collaborative skills with Teambuilding, Inc. The first half of the day included Peter Grazier's Building High Performance Teams, and the second half our challenging Treasure Hunt through the French Quarter. According to ISP's Kelly Hilliard, "I cannot adequately express to you in words the multitude of compliments, enriching feedback and examples of learning that I have received since your session with my staff in New Orleans. Your message spoke to the hearts, souls, and intellect."

ABB Offshore Systems' Team Development Day - A full day of team development activities was spent by about forty employees of ABB Offshore Systems in Houston. The day combined our Building High Performance Teams and Personality and the Team sessions for a full day of enlightening activities. Initial concerns about "personality typing" gave way to insightful learning as participants learned how their unique abilities and preferred behaviors combine to create high-performing teams.
