Leading
Change
Leading Change Successful organizations recognize that
innovation leads to long-term success. However, many individuals lack
the skills to both drive and support change. As such, Leading Change is
based on two core skill sets of generating new ideas and bringing them
into reality, then helping people to deal with the impact of those
changes.
In the Driving Change component of Leading Change, participants will
learn about their role in the change process. They will learn that all
change efforts are driven by four key behaviors: Generating new and
innovative ideas, generating enthusiasm for ideas and determining their
impact on people, evaluating the feasibility of the ideas, and creating
an implementation plan.
The Chinese symbol or kanji for change is comprised of two other
symbols, chaos and opportunity. In the second half of Leading Change,
participants will develop the skills to help those impacted by the
change to view change as an opportunity rather than dwell on the chaos
that change has the potential to create. Participants will learn how to
minimize stress by communicating effectively, generating buy-in, and
generally, turning anxiety into excitement.
Unlike most courses that simply focus on the key learning that change
causes stress, Leading Change teaches people what to do about it.
Participants will discover the key elements of change that include:
-
Creating a new vision
-
Developing out-of-the
box ideas
-
Refining ideas to
determine their feasibility
-
Establishing a plan to
ensure successful implementation
-
Generating enthusiasm
and support for changes
-
Helping others cope with
the stress and anxiety of change
