Garo Yepremian
Garo Yepremian is arguably the best kicker
to ever play in the NFL. The first time he lined up for a field goal in
the NFL was the first time he had ever kicked in a live game. But Garo
never succumbed to the pressure. After a stint with the Detroit Lions,
Garo signed with the Miami Dolphins. As a member of the only team to
ever go undefeated, he kicked the Dolphins to a win in Super Bowl VII.
Success continued to follow him as he was named the 1974 Pro Bowl MVP
for connecting on five field goals. One more honor came much later as
Garo was named Sports Illustrated and Pro Football Hall of Fames Kicker
of the Decade for the 1970s. His dedication and ability to work so well
under pressure have made Garo Yepremian what he is today.
