No Mission and Goals
A team should have a mission, goals, and
objectives.
The mission statement describes what the team does…its work…its product or service.
One of the most frequently stated reasons why a team is successful is a clear mission that is understood by each team member.
Goals are a subset of the mission. They define specific actions that will support accomplishing the mission. Objectives are a further breakdown of what is needed to accomplish each goal. In essence, the mission is broken down into smaller and smaller targets and accomplishments.
