Team Members That Don't Participate

Team Members That Don't Participate
Some teams have members who seldom participate actively in team discussions. They attend meetings but say little or nothing. Other team members may interpret this behavior as aloof, stupid, not interested in the team, and so forth. Much of the time these interpretations are incorrect and can lead to resentment and internal team strife.

The purpose of this section is to discuss a few of the common reasons why people may not participate in team discussions and suggest solutions. Click on a topic below or click the NEXT button to visit them all.

1. The "quiet" personality
2. Family history
3. Insecurity
